The Oliver Peoples sunglass collection has no visible brand logos, instead opting to showcase their manufacturing talents and premium materials. Only a true lover of the fine sun wear would recognise the OP brand. This self-assurance of quality continues into their marketing… Oliver People’s Sunglasses can be seen on the faces of Barack Obama, Brad Pitt, Jennifer Anniston & Kendall Jenner to name a few, however they never receive free or complimentary products from the brand - they choose to wear these sunglasses because they want to.

You know you’re in good hands with Oliver Peoples.

A bit of background on the Oliver Peoples brand: the first Oliver People’s boutique opened in 1987 on Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles by Larry Leight.

The original collection was inspired by an auction lot that Larry Leight learned was about to go under the hammer. Following the purchase, Larry underwent an almost epiphany of creativity, so strong was the inspiration he felt upon delving through the treasure trove of vintage sunglasses that he knew this was his calling. These first frames were marked 'Oliver People' hence the brand was born. Larry sold these frames in his original shop and the demand was huge.

Following this success, and as a trained optician, he took a technical interest in the quality of sunglass lenses used and chose the finest German UV filters manufactured by Carl Zeiss. He has continued to produce most of his lenses with an anti-reflection coating, which is important to minimise glare. And just like the OV1002S 5264/09, many of his sunglass models have polarised lenses.

The OP brand has been built around retro-inspired sunglasses which have since become a fashion obsession in Larry Leight’s native home of Los Angeles. His collection uses the finest Italian Mazzuchelli acetate to produce beautiful colours, the best quality Japanese titanium bringing great strength and lightweight qualities to his metal sunglass models.

As part of the iConnoissuer’s Collection, this sunglass design is the perfect unisex frame. Impeccably designed and the perfect eyewear staple that can be worn everyday with no compromise on quality, luxury and style. It is the perfect gift for those who love the finer things in life without any bold or ostentatious details distracting from the fantastic foundation of the piece.
